Nashville Prevention Partnership (NPP), a leading nonprofit substance abuse prevention organization, today announced a new Academy Partnership with the Academy of Arts and Communication at Cane Ridge High School. This partnership is through the PENCIL Foundation and will further provide a platform for the representation of Nashville youth voice.
“I’m very excited about partnering with Cane Ridge High School,” said NPP Executive Director, DeWayne Holman. “NPP will help provide a platform for students to use their classroom experience to learn more about video production.”
From our very first session with the Pencil Foundation’s PACE summer camp, the students were ready to tackle every task our staff assigned. Through brainstorming, community mapping and video production activities, the students learned about the recycling process, as well as techniques to engage their communities in creating a sustainable future through local efforts to reduce, reuse, and recycle.
